Marc accrued a staph infection in the wound from way back in the beginning of April, and was admitted into the hospital on Thursday night for IV meds and close observation. It had spread up to his knee, into the knee joint and then all around. The doctors drained 10 cc of the infection out of the knee on, Wednesday and by Friday it had spread rapidly throughout his leg. SCARY! But, he is home now and doing well. The infection is lessening and according to Marc, the pain is getting less as well. =)
This was, Marc's first time spending a couple nights in the hospital since he was born so the whole ordeal was a little scary all around, but a great patient he was for the staff of Spectrum, none the less. Cracking jokes, not being too demanding etc etc. His nurses were sad to see him go and some of the nurses aids not believing he was ever their patient... Good times. hehe.
We're all so happy to have him back home and for him to be feeling/doing better. :) :) :)
