Kyndra's First, First Grade Reports.

Marc had the pleasure of  attending Kyndra's very first parent teacher conference of her little school career.  We all know Kindergarten is just to get the kids ready for the next 12 years.  First: he adores her teacher. A LOT!  A great surprise to me, because I also adore her and was hoping he'd be just as fond of her as I have been.  Second: He is beaming with pride after such good reports from Mrs. Ealy for Kyndra.
Her report card showed she is doing very well at school, and is  right where she should be.  Her testing showed her being WELL above average for the nation and is in the top 6% of ALL first graders across the nation holding steady at a 90% and above. WOW!  According to the results of her MAP testing in mathematics... The districts averages peaks at 148.  The nations averages peak at 162.  Kyndra's averages peaked at 180.  I'd say that is pretty exceptional! In reading: The districts averages at 150. The nations averages peaks at 160. Kyndra's averages peaked at 181.  Pretty great right? I'm so proud of her!!! :)
The teacher shows no concern about Kyndra's hyper activity and says it's completely normal for a child this young as well as our dyslexia concerns we had for her.  She is exactly where is supposed to be and she is right on target in everything with the exception of reading.  She's a reader and has always been one.  She excels at reading. :)

This makes me so happy and so proud!! :)
